We offer an unmatched commercial and technical service for gaskets covering the broadest range of jointings - from rubber sheet through fibrous grades to the highest quality graphite available. We are proud to be a distributor for both Frenzelit graphite jointings and W L Gore PTFE sealing products – both of these companies offer world class sealing products in terms of product performance.
Based from our three dedicated gasket cutting centres at Middlesbrough, Wolverhampton and Runcorn, we have invested in every type of modern cutting equipment to ensure a rapid delivery to customers of well cut, quality gaskets and strip. We have:-
> CNC oscillating knife cutting machines with CAD/CAM software (for rapid precision cutting of gaskets with no tooling charge)
> Water jet cutting machines with CAD/CAM software (using water at 4000 bar for precision cutting of virtually any material)
> CNC travelling head presses (for cost-effective higher volume gasket cutting)
> High speed automatic presses (for high volume smaller gaskets and shapes)
> ‘Clicker’ presses (for lower volume work)
> A skilled hand cutting team for the rapid production of large sized gaskets or small quantities
> Log cutters for producing coils and strip
> Merkel strippers for the production of strip rubber and jointing
> Sheet stripping machines to produce strip foam
> These capabilities are available via each of our 8 sites in the UK.
The widest range of jointing materials that you will come across:-
> MacLellan range of rubber sheet (e.g. fluorocarbon elastomer, silicon rubber, butyl, EP, EPDM, neoprene, nitrile, natural)
> Compressed fibre jointings (e.g. General Service 178 and Pilot 34)
> PTFE jointings (e.g. Gore GR expanded PTFE, Burachem modified PTFE range, virgin PTFE)
> Graphite jointings (e.g. Novatec Premium, Novaphit SSTC and Novaphit SSTC-TAL)
> Mica jointings
> Foams (e.g. open and closed cell types in neoprene, EPDM, cross-linked polyethylene and polyurethane)
> Felts
> Corks (e.g. plain and with rubber binder)
> Paper
> Rubber proofed fabrics
> Gore PTFE tapes and DF joint sealant (e.g. Series 300 Gasket Tape, Series 600 Gasket Tape, DB Gasket Tape)
> Gore Universal Pipe Gaskets Style 800 (UPG)
> Boiler door joints (e.g. PilotSeal, Kevox and Novaphit SSTC-TRD401)
> Metal gaskets (e.g. spiral wound gaskets)
We can produce gaskets from 3mm outside diameter to sizes in excess of 10m.
Thicknesses range depends on the material but can be from 0.2mm to 100mm.
We can make gaskets for any standard flange (e.g. Table, ANSI, Class, PN, DIN) or to any non standard size or drawing.
Based on years of application experience, we can offer technical advice to customers regarding the best choice of gasket for any application.
With the support of Frenzelit’s Novadisc expert software we can also advise on aspects such as chemical compatibility, bolt torque, fugitive emission reduction, and trouble-shooting.
We offer on-site gasket training with modules covering: - gasket selection, basic rubber technology, flange assemblies (bolt torques, gaskets stresses, leakage rates etc.) and gasket fitting.
We also offer clear advice on helping customers conform with the new IPPC legislation regarding fugitive emission reduction (see ‘Fugitive Emissions’ page on this website for more details).
We understand the pressure to keep your production line running so we offer high quality gaskets in the fastest possible time.
Our standard lead time is 3 working days but we often despatch the same day an order is received to help customers in an emergency. Tooling costs are rarely required these days due to our investment in modern equipment.
We have created unique gasket costing software which enables our branch staff to offer a rapid response to enquiries.
