Plaited from a yarn made from the fibre of pure PTFE which has an extremely low coefficient of friction and is virtually self-lubricating. The packaging is vacuum impregnated with a PTFE dispersion, which reduces permeability and increases resistance to gases and low viscosity liquids. Because the coefficient of thermal expansion of PTFE increases with temperature, it is important to avoid over-heating of the surface in contact with the shaft, by careful fitting and use of minimum gland pressure.

• All known chemicals with the exception of molten alkali metals and fluorine.

Max.Temp. 280oC, Pressure 350 bar, pH 0-14, Speed 10m/s.

In Square Section 3.0mm, 5.0mm, 6.5mm, 8.0mm, 9.5mm in Coils of 6 metres; 11.0mm, and above in Coils of 3 metres. Cut rings, intermediate and larger sizes or specified lengths available to order.
